Starting with a "torch lighting" ceremony and concluding with a "closing ceremony", Turtle Lake will present our Nude Olympics. Although a true Olympiad occurs every four years, ours is an annual event. It is thought that the early Olympians in ancient Greece competed in the nude. We intend to carry on that fine tradition. Our events will include shuffleboard, pickle ball, horseshoes, water volleyball, mini golf, disc golf, bean bag toss, ping pong and many more. For a nominal $15 entry fee you may participate in as few or as many events as you wish. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in each event and at the end of every day, we will have a medal awards ceremony. Just be sure to mark your calendars for the Turtle Lake Resort Nude Olympics week. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort. Look for the Event board located at the Turtle Lake Resort's outdoor pool for the sign up sheets. To ensure you have a wonderful time playing, our events will be blind draw tournaments. Come play and have fun!

Our DJ John will be hosting a Turtle Lake Resort Dance in the Resort Clubhouse tonight. Join us for a fun and entertaining evening. Weather permitting our Dances may be held at our new Pool/Tiki Bar.
The theme for tonight's Dance is "Red, White & Blue"
A note on "themes". Many of our Parties have themes. A theme is just a way to add some fun. If you're at the Resort and want to come to our Party but aren't prepared for the theme of the night's Party, don't be deterred from attending. If any place is "come as you are", it's Turtle Lake Resort!!!
Children are not permitted in the Clubhouse main room after 9:00 PM on dance nights. Children (17 or under) are allowed in the Clubhouse Pool area until 11PM if accompanied by a responsible adult.

For all you golfers out there, be sure and join our golf scrambles which are held throughout the season. Tee off time is 9:00 AM at the Turtle Creek Golf Course, just a few miles from the Resort. Be sure and arrive at the golf course by 8:30 so randomly drawn teams of 4 can be put together. Prizes are awarded at most scrambles. A small cost of $2.00 for each player is collected at each scramble to defer the cost of the prizes. Check our Calendar frequently to find out when the scrambles will be held.

Each game will be with and against different four person teams. You will play 8-10 games and your total points will be added together. Each game you will be partnered with 3 different players. After everyone has played an equal number of games everyone enters the playoffs on Sunday. AA players will be put into an AA division on Sunday. Sign up by 9AM Saturday. Not for novice players.
Tourney Fee: $20.00 - includes hot dog lunch and a pizza party on Saturday night

Children are not permitted in the Clubhouse main room after 9:00 PM on dance nights. Children (17 or under) are allowed in the Clubhouse Pool area until 11PM if accompanied by a responsible adult.

Get yourself ready for one of TLR's biggest and most breathtaking events - our annual Fourth of July Fireworks Display. And this year, to help set an even more exciting mood, we've added a Tailgate Party which will lead up to the fireworks show. So everyone, ride your golf carts or walk over and gather in front of our stage to join the fun and watch the fireworks. Pack some food to share with friends. Bring along your mini grills if you choose. Set up some lawn chairs, or spread out a blanket. So be sure and join the Party atmosphere. Then kick back, relax, and enjoy Turtle Lake's sensational Fireworks Display.

Event Title: Bocce Ball Tournament

Bocce Ball is an Italian game. Bocce is traditionally played on natural soil. The Bocce Ball set includes four balls that are color coordinated and a small ball called the Jack. The object of the game is to throw the small ball "jack" within the playing area. By rolling or tossing your ball you attempt to get your ball as close to the jack as possible. The person or team that is the furthest from the jack continue to throw their balls until they get the closest or run out of balls. The length of a game varies by region but is typically from 7 to 13 points. Players are permitted to throw the ball in the air using an underarm action. This is generally used to knock either the jack or another ball away to attain a more favorable position. Tactics can get quite complex when players have sufficient control over the ball to throw or roll it accurately. Bocce balls have no weights inside the bigger balls allowing for a straight rolling ball. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort.
