Event Title: Petanque Tournament
Where: Resort Grounds

Turtle Lake Resort will be having a Petanque Tournament. Petanque is a French game where the goal is to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden or rubber ball called the "piglet" while standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground. Turtle Lake Resort has created a Petanque Court for this purpose. The first player throws the piglet 6-10 meters away. A player from the team that threw the piglet then throws their first ball. A player from the opposing team then makes a throw. Play continues with the team that is not closest to the piglet having to continue throwing until they either land a ball closer to the piglet than their opponents or run out of balls. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort. Look for the Event board located at the Turtle Lake Resort's outdoor pool for the sign-up sheets. To ensure you have a wonderful time playing, our events will be blind draw tournaments. Come play and have fun!

Our DJ Marion will be hosting a Turtle Lake Resort Dance on the Resort Beach tonight. Join us for a fun and entertaining evening. If the weather does not cooperate the Dance will be held in our Clubhouse.
The theme for tonight's Dance is "Lady In Red"
A note on "themes". Many of our Parties have themes. A theme is just a way to add some fun. If you're at the Resort and want to come to our Party but aren't prepared for the theme of the night's Party, don't be deterred from attending. If any place is "come as you are", it's Turtle Lake Resort!!!
Children are not permitted in the Clubhouse main room after 9:00 PM on dance nights. Children (17 or under) are allowed in the Clubhouse Pool area until 11PM if accompanied by a responsible adult.

Event Title: TLR Amazing Race

We have an all new exciting event "The Amazing Race" TLR style. We will blind draw teams of two to solve clues and complete tasks equally. Each team will solve the clues that lead them to a task to be completed. There will be 10 tasks. Each member of the two person team will have to complete 5 tasks. Each team will have to decide which one of them will complete the task. Once the task is complete they get their next clue. The first team to complete all 10 of the tasks and cross the finish line wins the Amazing Race!!! We hope you all sign up to play the Amazing Race!!An example of a task would be: Stacking 20 solo cups in a pyramid. This will not be a task this year but is being used as an example of the silly easy things to be done. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort. Look for the Event board located at the Turtle Lake Resort's outdoor pool for the sign-up sheets. To ensure you have a wonderful time playing, our events will be blind draw tournaments. Most entrants in our 5K chose to participate in the nude. If you feel more comfortable participating in running attire, you are welcome to do so. If you have never participated in an event such as our 5K in the nude, consider giving it a try. For those who wish to participate at a slower pace, our 2 mile walk also includes a group who walk the course.

For all you golfers out there, be sure and join our golf scrambles which are held throughout the season. Tee off time is 9:00 AM at the Turtle Creek Golf Course, just a few miles from the Resort. Be sure and arrive at the golf course by 8:30 so randomly drawn teams of 4 can be put together. Prizes are awarded at most scrambles. A small cost of $2.00 for each player is collected at each scramble to defer the cost of the prizes. Check our Calendar frequently to find out when the scrambles will be held.

Starting with a "torch lighting" ceremony and concluding with a "closing ceremony", Turtle Lake will present our Nude Olympics. Although a true Olympiad occurs every four years, ours is an annual event. It is thought that the early Olympians in ancient Greece competed in the nude. We intend to carry on that fine tradition. Our events will include shuffleboard, pickle ball, horseshoes, water volleyball, mini golf, disc golf, bean bag toss, ping pong and many more. For a nominal $15 entry fee you may participate in as few or as many events as you wish. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in each event and at the end of every day, we will have a medal awards ceremony. Just be sure to mark your calendars for the Turtle Lake Resort Nude Olympics week. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort. Look for the Event board located at the Turtle Lake Resort's outdoor pool for the sign up sheets. To ensure you have a wonderful time playing, our events will be blind draw tournaments.
