Pickleball is a racquet sport in which two to four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a polymer perforated ball over a net. Event Title: Bocce Ball Tournament

Bocce Ball is an Italian game. Bocce is traditionally played on natural soil. The Bocce Ball set includes four balls that are color coordinated and a small ball called the Jack. The object of the game is to throw the small ball "jack" within the playing area. By rolling or tossing your ball you attempt to get your ball as close to the jack as possible. The person or team that is the furthest from the jack continue to throw their balls until they get the closest or run out of balls. The length of a game varies by region but is typically from 7 to 13 points. Players are permitted to throw the ball in the air using an underarm action. This is generally used to knock either the jack or another ball away to attain a more favorable position. Tactics can get quite complex when players have sufficient control over the ball to throw or roll it accurately. Bocce balls have no weights inside the bigger balls allowing for a straight rolling ball. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort. Look for the Event board located at the Turtle Lake Resort's outdoor pool for the sign up sheets. To ensure you have a wonderful time playing, our events will be blind draw tournaments. Come play and have fun!

Water Volleyball is played in the Resort's indoor pool in the Clubhouse on most every Friday nights, Saturday mornings and Sunday mornings. All visitors and Members are invited and welcomed to play. In addition to these hours there are also several Water Volleyball Tournaments scheduled during the colder months (see our Web Calendar for these events).
At all other times the Clubhouse pool is available for our Guests and Members use.
The scheduled hours are:
Fridays: 8:00PM to 9:30PM
Saturdays: 11:00AM to 12:30PM & 7PM to 8:30PM
Sundays: 11:00AM to 12:30PM
Note: During certain Special Events the pool may be closed to volleyball play.

Our DJ will be hosting a Turtle Lake Resort Dance in the Resort Clubhouse tonight. During the warmer months the Dances will be held pool side next to our Outdoor Pool .Join us for a fun and entertaining evening.

A note on "themes". Many of our Parties have themes. A theme is just a way to add some fun. If you're at the Resort and want to come to our Party but aren't prepared for the theme of the night's Party, don't be deterred from attending. If any place is "come as you are", it's Turtle Lake Resort!!!
Children are not permitted in the Clubhouse main room or pool side after 8:30 PM on dance nights. Children (17 or under) are allowed in the Clubhouse Pool area or pool side until 11PM if accompanied by a responsible adult.

What is Mölkky? It's like "Yard Bowling. Mölkky consists of tossing a short piece of wood ( the Mölkky) towards 12 numbered pins (the Skittles). If you knock down one Skittle, you get as many points as the number on the pin. If you knock down several of the Skittles, you get 1 point per fallen Skittle. Games are played to exactly 50 points. We will be hosting a Fashion show with a bevy of beautiful TLR members as Models. The fashions they are modeling will be auctioned off as they model them around the pool. Most bids will begin at $15 or less. The fashions will include resort wear as well as street wear and shoes!! So bring your money and your drinks and meet us at the pool for a fun and exciting show!! Proceeds from this auction will be used for charity. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort. Come play and have fun!

An Old Fashioned County Fair at Turtle Lake Resort
Crafter's wanted!
Friday evening there'll be Marshmallow Golf and a Watermelon Seed Spitting Contest with DJ Floyd supplying some country music.
On Saturday, from 10AM till 4PM, there'll be a Farmers Market, a Best Turtle Statue contest, a Best Homemade Barbecue Sauce Contest, Face Painting, Fairway Games, a Psychic and for Musicians there'll be a Country Jam going on all day. We'll also have a Stick Horse Walk Race, a Three Legged Walk Race and a Spoon Egg Race.
Fair style food will be sold all day at the Tiki Bar.
At 5PM there will be a dinner available. Pork, potato salad and desert for $10/person. The Blue Ribbon winning Barbecue Sauce will be available until it runs out.
On Sunday, starting at 10AM, join us for a Critter (Dog or Cat) Fashion Show. a Dog agility display by Lexi and Sarah and Fluffy bullriding.

Pickleball is a racquet sport in which two to four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a polymer perforated ball over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a Badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis with a few modifications.

Water Volleyball is played in the Resort's indoor pool in the Clubhouse on most every Friday nights, Saturday mornings and Sunday mornings. All visitors and Members are invited and welcomed to play. In addition to these hours there are also several Water Volleyball Tournaments scheduled during the colder months (see our Web Calendar for these events).
At all other times the Clubhouse pool is available for our Guests and Members use.
The scheduled hours are:
Fridays: 8:00PM to 9:30PM
Saturdays: 11:00AM to 12:30PM & 7PM to 8:30PM
Sundays: 11:00AM to 12:30PM
Note: During certain Special Events the pool may be closed to volleyball play.
