What is Mölkky? It's like "Yard Bowling. Mölkky consists of tossing a short piece of wood ( the Mölkky) towards 12 numbered pins (the Skittles). If you knock down one Skittle, you get as many points as the number on the pin. If you knock down several of the Skittles, you get 1 point per fallen Skittle. Games are played to exactly 50 points. This will be a Turtle Lake Resort Fishing Tournament for Members and Day Pass holders and their families only. There will be three competing categories men, women and under 18 for the largest fish. No license is required because this weekend is free fishing in Michigan.

You may fish on Mirror Lake or in the Lagoon without clothing. If you choose to fish on the shore of Turtle Lake or on Turtle Lake, clothing is mandatory.

For all you golfers out there, be sure and join our golf scrambles which are held throughout the season. Tee off time is 9:00 AM at the Turtle Creek Golf Course, just a few miles from the Resort. Be sure and arrive at the golf course by 8:30 so randomly drawn teams of 4 can be put together. Prizes are awarded at most scrambles. A small cost of $2.00 for each player is collected at each scramble to defer the cost of the prizes.

Although a true Olympiad occurs every four years, ours is an annual event. It is thought that the early Olympians in ancient Greece competed in the nude. We intend to carry on that fine tradition. Our events will include shuffleboard, pickle ball, horseshoes, water volleyball, mini golf, disc golf, bean bag toss, ping pong and many more. For a nominal $10 entry fee you may participate in as few or as many events as you wish. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in each event and at the end of every day, we will have a medal awards ceremony. Just be sure to mark your calendars for the Turtle Lake Resort Nude Olympics week. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort. Most entrants in our 5K chose to participate in the nude. If you feel more comfortable participating in running attire, you are welcome to do so. If you have never participated in an event such as our 5K in the nude, consider giving it a try. For those who wish to participate at a slower pace, our 2 mile walk also includes a group who walk the course.
