It has been said that the game originated in Germany in the 14th century, and then was rediscovered in the hills of Kentucky over 100 years ago. The truth is, who really knows, but the game is great fun for all ages and can be played anywhere! It is similar to horseshoes except you use wooden boxes called bean bag platforms which have a hole cut in them and they set at an angle. The bags are usually filled with corn. Contestants take turns pitching their bags at the hole in the platform until a contestant reaches the score of 21 points. A bag in the hole scores 3 points, while one on the platform scores 1 point. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort. To ensure you have a wonderful time playing, our events will be blind draw tournaments. Come play and have fun!

Tonight will feature the band Decades performing live and hosting a Turtle Lake Resort Dance in the Resort Clubhouse. Join us for a fun and entertaining evening.

Children are not permitted in the Clubhouse main room after 8:30 PM on dance nights. Children (17 or under) are allowed in the Clubhouse Pool area until 11PM if accompanied by a responsible adult.

Volleyball fans, be sure to come out to TLR for the next Water Volleyball Tournament. The sign up board will be available in the clubhouse Friday night and Saturday morning. If you're interested in playing, please put your name on the list by 12:00 noon to be put in the pool.

After the volleyball there's Potluck supper held in the Clubhouse. All welcome to join in even if you're here for the day and can't bring a contribution!
