A note on "themes". Many of our Parties have themes. A theme is just a way to add some fun. If you're at the Resort and want to come to our Party but aren't prepared for the theme of the night's Party, don't be deterred from attending. If any place is "come as you are", it's Turtle Lake Resort!!!

Children are not permitted in the Clubhouse main room after 9:00 PM on dance nights. Children (17 or under) are allowed in the Clubhouse Pool area until 11PM if accompanied by a responsible adult.

Each game will be with and against different four person teams. You will play 8-10 games and your total points will be added together. Each game you will be partnered with 3 different players. After everyone has played an equal number of games everyone enters the playoffs on Sunday. AA players will be put into an AA division on Sunday. Sign up by 9AM Saturday. Not for novice players.

Tourney Fee: $20.00 - includes hot dog lunch and a pizza party on Saturday night

And this year, to help set an even more exciting mood, we've added a Tailgate Party which will lead up to the fireworks show. So everyone, ride your golf carts or walk over and gather in front of our stage to join the fun and watch the fireworks. Pack some food to share with friends. Bring along your mini grills if you choose. Set up some lawn chairs, or spread out a blanket. So be sure and join the Party atmosphere. Then kick back, relax, and enjoy Turtle Lake's sensational Fireworks Display.

For all you golfers out there, be sure and join our golf scrambles which are held throughout the season. Tee off time is 9:00 AM at the Turtle Creek Golf Course, just a few miles from the Resort. Be sure and arrive at the golf course by 8:30 so randomly drawn teams of 4 can be put together. Prizes are awarded at most scrambles. A small cost of $2.00 for each player is collected at each scramble to defer the cost of the prizes. Check our Calendar frequently to find out when the scrambles will be held.

Russ Bono has been an entertainer in the greater St. Louis area for many years. He started out in the mid 1970's in local bands playing various area clubs. Later touring all over the country playing New York to Los Angeles with extended runs at the Aladdin Hotel on the "Las Vegas Strip". In recent years Russ had been writing music for Starstruck Publishing Co. then owned and operated by Nashville singing sensation Reba Mcintire. In 2001 Russ Started The Company Winkadoodle Music for Children. Selling original albums with children's names in the songs. Performing Live is Russ's forte, playing guitar, fiddle and singing his way through many styles of music. An entertaining time
is guaranteed!

Today is Free Tan Day at Turtle Lake Resort. If you've never been here before you can give us a try at absolutely no cost to you. Just come to the Resort Office, we'll make sure that you are a "first timer" at the Resort, and you can spend the day here free. You can even participate in the World Record Skinny Dip event that we're holding today. If you're a little unsure of what it;s like to be nude in public and to enjoy the freedom that comes with it you'll find it a lot easier when you're surrounded by hundreds of equally naked people and all having the time of their life! Give it a try - you'll like it and, of course, want to come back!

The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a Badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis with a few modifications. This will be a "round robin" non-sanctioned tournament.

What is Mölkky? It's like "Yard Bowling. Mölkky consists of tossing a short piece of wood ( the Mölkky) towards 12 numbered pins (the Skittles). If you knock down one Skittle, you get as many points as the number on the pin. If you knock down several of the Skittles, you get 1 point per fallen Skittle. Games are played to exactly 50 points.
