Turtle Lake Resort 2013 Nude Olympics
Starting on Friday, June 28 th with a "torch lighting" ceremony and concluding with a "closing ceremony" on Friday, July 5 th, Turtle Lake will present our first ever nude Olympics. Although a true Olympiad occurs every four years, ours is destined to be an annual event. It is thought that the early Olympians in ancient Greece competed in the nude. We intend to carry on that fine tradition.
Our events will include shuffleboard, pickle ball, horseshoes, volleyball, mini golf, par 3 golf on our very own 9 hole course, disc golf, bean bag toss, petanque, water volleyball and many more.
For a nominal $10 entry fee you may participate in as few or as many events as you wish. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in each event. Registration details and individual event schedules will be posted at a later date.
Just be sure to mark your calendars for the Turtle Lake Resort Nude Olympics week. By the way, while you're here for the Olympics you may also enjoy the 4 th of July Fireworks show on Friday, July 5 th.

Our MC Marion will be hosting a Turtle Lake Resort Party in the Resort Clubhouse tonight. Join us for a fun and entertaining evening.
The theme for tonight's Party is: Red, White & Blue
A note on "themes". Some of our Parties have themes. A theme is just a way to add some fun. If you're at the Resort and want to come to our Party but aren't prepared for the theme of the night's Party, don't be deterred from attending. If any place is "come as you are", it's Turtle Lake Resort!!!
Children are not permitted in the Clubhouse main room after 9:00 PM. Children (17 or under) are allowed in the Clubhouse Pool area until 11PM if accompanied by a responsible adult.

Get yourself ready for one of TLR's biggest and most breathtaking events - our annual Fourth of July Fireworks Display. And this year, to help set an even more exciting mood, we've added a Tailgate Party which will lead up to the fireworks show. So everyone, ride your golf carts or walk over and gather in front of our stage to join the fun and watch the fireworks. Pack some food to share with friends. Bring along your mini grills if you choose. Set up some lawn chairs, or spread out a blanket. So be sure and join the Party atmosphere. Then kick back, relax, and enjoy Turtle Lake's sensational Fireworks Display.

For all you golfers out there, be sure and join our golf scrambles which are held throughout the season. Tee off time is 9:00 AM at the Turtle Creek Golf Course, just a few miles from the Resort. Be sure and arrive at the golf course by 8:30 so randomly drawn teams of 4 can be put together. Prizes are awarded at most scrambles. A small cost of $3.00 for each player is collected at each scramble to defer the cost of the prizes. Check our Calendar frequently to find out when the scrambles will be held.

Each game will be with and against different four person teams. You will play 8-10 games and your total points will be added together. Each game you will be partnered with 3 different players. After everyone has played an equal number of games everyone enters the playoffs on Sunday. AA players will be put into an AA division on Sunday. Sign up by 9AM Saturday. Not for novice players.
Tourney Fee: $20.00 - includes hot dog lunch and a pizza party on Saturday night

What do you get when you combine badminton, tennis and ping-pong? These are the ingredients for the sport known as pickleball. We're going to have a series of pickleball sessions on most Saturdays. If you know the game, come and find someone to play with. If you 'd like to learn to play the game, come and learn how. If tennis has become a bit much for you but you love the game, pickleball may be the answer.

Today's TLR Golf is going to be a "golf in the nude" event held at Turtle Lake Resort's very own 9 hole course at the Resort. For today's event there will be a $5 fee to cover the cost of awards and hot dogs.
Caution - Proper golf attire must not be worn for this event. Pants, shirts, coats, skirts and even underwear are specifically not allowed to be worn in this event. Weather permitting, of course.
