For all you golfers out there, be sure and join our golf scrambles which are held throughout the season. Tee off time is 9:00 AM at the Turtle Creek Golf Course, just a few miles from the Resort. Be sure and arrive at the golf course by 8:30 so randomly drawn teams of 4 can be put together. Prizes are awarded at most scrambles. A small cost of $2.00 for each player is collected at each scramble to defer the cost of the prizes. Check our Calendar frequently to find out when the scrambles will be held.

Flag Raising Ceremony for Armed Forces Day. This event is to honor all who served in the US Military. Wear a hat or tee shirt identifying the branch of the military in which you served. We will march from the Lodge to the front of the Turtle Lake Resort Office and raise the flag.

Please join us in the Clubhouse for an Old English Tea Party. Bring a plate of scones, mini cakes, cookies or tea sandwiches, some tea for a sampling and your favorite tea cup. Also bring three slightly used ladies items to be exchanged; purses, scarves, jewelry etc. As ladies and young ladies we have an opportunity to get together and visit; to talk about nudism and current affairs as well as exchange items in a fun way with a game. Dress in your Tea Party finery and hats.

What is Mölkky? It's like "Yard Bowling. Mölkky consists of tossing a short piece of wood ( the Mölkky) towards 12 numbered pins (the Skittles). If you knock down one Skittle, you get as many points as the number on the pin. If you knock down several of the Skittles, you get 1 point per fallen Skittle. Games are played to exactly 50 points. Pickleball is a racquet sport in which two to four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a polymer perforated ball over a net. The sport shares features of other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a Badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis with a few modifications. This will be a "round robin" non-sanctioned tournament.

Holiday Mini-Tourneys

Mini-Tourneys are held on Holiday Weekends. The winning team receives T-shirts. Teams will be evenly divided; "round robin" and playoff games will all be held on the day of the tourneys. Tourneys start at 1:00PM. Entrance fee is $5.00 Sign up by noon. Some tournament experience is recommended.

Everyone is welcome to join our 8 Ball Tournament. It's all for fun so don't be worried if your new to the game. There'll be plenty of help to get you started. Here's a brief description of how 8 Ball is played.

8 Ball is a pool game popular in much of the world. Played on a pool table with six pockets. 8 Ball is played with 16 balls: a cue ball, and 15 object balls consisting of seven striped balls, seven solid-colored balls and the black 8 ball. After the balls are scattered with a break shot, the players are assigned either the group of solid balls or the stripes once a ball from a particular group is legally pocketed. The ultimate object of the game is to legally pocket the eight ball in a called pocket, which can only be done after all of the balls from a player's assigned group have been cleared from the table.

TLR Resort Wide Flea Market Style Garage Sale wide. The former TLR Garage Sale is being moved from individual lots to near the outdoor pool area. This will put all sellers in one
location and convenient to potential buyers. Set up your own booth. Bring your own tables or tables will be available for rent at $10/table on a first come first serve basis. Table reservations will need to be made at least one week in advance by notification to the TLR Activities Director.

Turtle Lake Resort will be having a Petanque Tournament. Petanque is a French game where the goal is to throw hollow metal balls as close as possible to a small wooden or rubber ball called the "piglet" while standing inside a starting circle with both feet on the ground. Turtle Lake Resort has created a Petanque Court for this purpose. The first player throws the piglet 15-20 feet away. A player from the team that threw the piglet then throws their first ball. A player from the opposing team then makes a throw. Play continues with the team that is not closest to the piglet having to continue throwing until they either land a ball closer to the piglet than their opponents or run out of balls. We want you to always feel welcome to participate in all of our events at Turtle Lake Resort. Look for the Event board located at the Turtle Lake Resort's outdoor pool for the sign-up sheets. To ensure you have a wonderful time playing, our events will be blind draw tournaments. Come play and have fun!
